Join the Friends of Hoyt Park for a guided nature walk through Hoyt Park. The topic for July is POLLINATORS!
We have a special guest for our July nature walk. Want to learn more about the wonderful world of pollinators? Join Elizabeth Braatz, a UW-Madison PhD Student studying pollinator conservation, on a guided walk to look at the world through a bug’s eye! She’ll cover bee biology, some of the amazing adaptations and many species of bees, and how to look for the endangered Rusty patched bumble bee.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes/footwear for a short walk throughout the park and bring a camera/camera phone.
Enjoy this opportunity to learn about the wide variety of things you may have seen--or might never have noticed--in the park.
Meet by the Historic Main Entrance on Regent St. (near Capital High) at 6:30 PM and wear your walking shoes.
