GOVERNANCE OF THE FRIENDS OF HOYT PARK
The Friends of Hoyt Park (FoHP) has been established to act as a partner to the Madison Parks Division assisting with the protection and preservation of Hoyt Park’s natural areas and historic structures. FoHP raises funds for the benefit of the park through membership dues and annual, or project specific, donation campaigns.
The Board of Directors of the Friends of Hoyt Park functions as the governing body for the members of FoHP; managing funds that are collected to benefit the park, serving as a liaison between the membership and the Madison Parks Division and organizing events to showcase the park to the Madison community.
The Board of Directors consists of 3-7 elected directors and up to 5 additional individuals appointed by and representing the neighborhoods surrounding Hoyt Park.
As an incorporated non-profit, The Friends of Hoyt Park works under a set of Bylaws last updated in 2006.
Board Meetings
The FoHP Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of the month, 10 months per year. Please check our calendar for times and locations. These meetings are open to the public.
