Volunteers are invited to a Hoyt Park workday hosted by the Friends of Hoyt Park. We will gather near the main entrance on Regent Street (near Capital High School). Street parking is available on Regent and Larkin St.

A FoHP volunteer will explain the monthly task and limited tools will be provided. We may be working in brushy areas so dress appropriately, bring gloves to protect your hands and wear solid shoes. These workdays are family friendly and a great way to meet people who care about our urban parks. FoHP will provide a light snack and water.

September’s task will be collecting seed from Hoyt’s native prairie and woodland plants. These seeds will be spread in our restoration areas during other volunteer workdays. Bring a hand clipper and a grocery bag or two.
