Volunteers are invited to a Hoyt Park workday hosted by the Friends of Hoyt Park. We will gather near the main entrance on Regent Street (near Capital High School). Street parking is available on Regent and Larkin St.

A FoHP volunteer will explain the monthly task and limited tools will be provided. We may be working in brushy areas so dress appropriately, bring gloves to protect your hands and wear solid shoes. These workdays are family friendly and a great way to meet people who care about our urban parks. FoHP will provide a light snack and water.

November is a great time of the year to spread native plant seed; some of this seed was previously collected from Hoyt’s own native plants and other seed has been purchased in order to promote diversity. Native seeds need to have a period of cold (winter) before they will germinate. Bring a rake if you can.
